It comes from a Tang Dynasty poet named Jia Dao.它来自唐朝一个叫贾岛的诗人。
One day, he thought about a line of poetry.有一天，他在琢磨一句诗。

He kept acting it out on the street.他在街上一边走一边比划。
A famous scholar told him: knock is better.一位大学者告诉他：用"敲"更好。
So "tui qiao" became the word for careful thinking.于是"推敲"就成了仔细思考的意思。
