"人们说英语"是 People speak English。"英语被说"是 English is spoken。这就是被动语态。
什么时候用被动
不知道动作是谁干的，或者不想说谁干的，或者动作承受者更重要：
- The window was broken. 窗户被打破了。（不知道谁打破的）
- This bridge was built in 1990. 这座桥 1990 年建的。
公式
be + 动词过去分词。be 随时态和人称变。
主动改被动三步走
原句：Tom cleans the room.
1. 宾语 the room 升到主语：The room...
2. 动词变 be + 过去分词：is cleaned（时态跟着原句走，原句一般现在时，be 用 is）
3. 原主语 Tom 用 by 引出：by Tom
结果：The room is cleaned by Tom.
各时态的被动
- 一般现在：is/are done
- 一般过去：was/were done
- 现在进行：is/are being done
- 现在完成：has/have been done
- 情态动词：can/must be done
by 短语常省略
动作执行者不重要时，by 短语直接省：
- English is spoken in many countries.
口诀：宾语升主语，be 加过分，时态跟着原句走，by 引出原主角。
