Volunteer Work in the Community

Last month, I took part in volunteer work in our community. 上个月，我参加了社区里的志愿活动。 Some students worked together to pick up rubbish along the path. 一些同学一起沿着小路捡拾垃圾。 Others gave out leaflets about protecting our environment. 另一些人分发关于保护环境的宣传单。 We met several old people who lived alone nearby. 我们遇见几位住在附近的独居老人。 We talked with them and helped clean their rooms. 我们陪他们聊天，帮忙打扫他们的房间。 At the end of the day, I felt a little physically tired. 一天结束时，我的身体有一点疲惫。 But a strong sense of satisfaction filled my heart. 但心中充满了强烈的满足感。 Volunteering tells me helping others can bring us great happiness. 志愿活动让我懂得帮助他人能带给我们莫大的快乐。
